Amy Mahoney

Vocalist/Keyboard

Amy Mahoney has been entertaining crowds for the past two decades in both the United States and abroad. As a member of United States Army bands around the world, she has performed on three continents, being featured operatic soloist at the Seoul Arts Center, recording artist at Fame and Wishbone studios in Muscle Shoals, and Embassy tours in Germany, South Korea, Jordan, and Kuwait.

Currently, Amy is performing Wednesday evenings at Luciano’s Italian restaurant in Huntsville from the hours of 6 to 8pm.


Eric Rogers

Woodwinds

Eric Rogers has 45 years of sax playing experience including performing, teaching and recording. He is the lead sax soloist of Moondust Big Band and was the group’s Musical Director for 12 years.

In addition to being the primary reedman for and Oompah Calypse. Eric’s weekly jazz solo performances have built regular followings in recent years at Nick’s Ristorante as well as Luciano Italian
Restaurant with Eric being voted by huntsvillemusic.com fans as a 2018 Jazz Finalist for Best Live Music.
Eric was a founding member of Rocket City Jazz Orchestra. He has performed and recorded with many prominent groups and musicians locally and in Nashville, including combo performances for the Nashville Jazz Workshop and the Governor of Alabama.

A Huntsville resident for 28 years, Eric is originally from the Minneapolis / St. Paul area and was first recorded as a soloist with their North
Suburban Wind Ensemble in 1978. Eric is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.


Jeffrey Caroll

Brass

Jeffrey Carroll is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in Trumpet and Trombone for jazz, rock, classical, and some polka too! He particularly focuses on Traditional Jazz up to Bebop and the full range of Big Band music. He is the musical director for Moondust Big Band. He went to the University of Alabama where he was section leader for the Million Dollar Band, principal trombone in the Wind Ensemble, and lead trombone in the Jazz Ensemble. He regularly plays swing, blues, and rock gigs across the Southeast. His other instruments of interest include Guitar, Upright Bass, Piano, Melodica, Harmonica, and Flute.

Jeffrey is an Electrical Engineer professionally and enjoys Swing Dancing and Outdoor activities along with his musical pursuits.


Carldario Brown

Drums

Originally from the Peninsula of Virginia, CJ Brown has had a very diverse musical background since his start in his middle school jazz band nearly 20 years ago. From playing in churches around the country with major gospel recording artists to small jazz clubs as a teen he’s used all his experiences to help him grow to be the “jack of all trades” drummer. After his time in the US Army Band, CJ now resides in Huntsville, AL with his family but still remains the energetic and charismatic drummer who’s never lost his love for making great music with great musicians all over the world.


Jeremy Howe

Tuba (Band Leader)

Jeremy Howe is a tuba player and bass-baritone vocalist with over 25 years of professional experience performing throughout the world. During his twenty-year career as an Army Musician he performed for presidents, on National Public Radio, CNN, and in more parades and ceremonies than he can count.
While serving in assignments throughout the United States and overseas, he has performed with and led a wide variety of instrumental and vocal ensembles ranging from traditional brass quintets and jazz bands to a funk-rock band “Rendezvous Groove” who was a featured ensemble at the 2011 W.C. Handy Festival in Florence, Alabama, and a barbershop quartet “7-Ball”, which won the Army-wide “Ensemble of the Year” award for 2011.
Jeremy was assigned to the Army Materiel Command Band at Redstone Arsenal in 2011 and retired in 2013. Since arriving in the Tennessee Valley, Jeremy has performed as a vocal soloist with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, Huntsville Community Chorus, and in local performances of Handel’s Messiah. Jeremy has stayed active as a tuba player performing the Brass Band of Huntsville, church ensembles, solo recitals, and his own bands Oompah-Calypse and The Easy Street Stompers.
